Founded by Joseph Barrett in 1959, Barrett’s Concrete has grown in strength and size over the past six decades. We have always strived to uphold the values of honesty, integrity and loyalty which Joseph himself held and this has been translated into our ever-expanding business.
The acquisition of Neil Mullin and Sons, a quarry located outside Sixmilecross, has allowed us to ensure quality starts at the source. The materials used in our high-quality concrete, precast and block products are sourced directly from our own quarry.
Our cross-border expansion in 2002, with the procurement of Mullin Concrete, based in Emyvale, Co. Monaghan has extended our client base and improved our service provision.
Locations and Facilities
Our head office is located in the village of Eglish, Co. Tyrone. Here we manufacture and supply ready-mix concrete, blocks, precast building products and store washed sand and gravel.
From our quarry, we extract sand, gravel and rock. As well, this facility supplies ready-mix concrete, blocks and is the base for our foundation piling company, DC Piling.
Our third ready-mix batching plant is located across the Tyrone-Monaghan border in Emyvale, Co. Monaghan.
Quality
At Barrett’s Concrete, we pride ourselves on the quality of our products, ensuring only the best for our customers. To achieve this, we adhere to rigorous quality control standards. The aggregates produced in our quarry that go into our products carry the CE mark and declaration of performances. Our block and precast products have been awarded BSI certification to carry CE marking, guaranteeing their quality.
